VENICE

2000 years fine tuned symphony of cultures, colors, architects, and foods.

Started as a refugee place from nearby Roman cities two millenniums ago, Venice has been a wealthy city since then. The city wears many hats: “La Dominante”, “La Serenissima”, “Queen of the Adriatic”, “City of Water”, “City of Masks”, “City of Bridges”, “The Floating City”, and “City of Canals”.

I just realized that this city is made up of small islands crumped together and beautifully connected by small bridges. I have just done islands hopping without a boat! Exploring Venice is like being in a living Renaissance museum! The history, buildings, canals, gondolas, people, and foods are complementing each other harmoniously like orchestra music that has been tuned for two thousand years. Enjoy!

Thank you for traveling with me!

This is part of my ongoing Travel Visualclips, where I shared a glimpse of my travel visuals and thought. Each series features a paragraph of the history of the place and a paragraph of my thought. Accompanied by no more than fifteen images, each series is intended to give readers the umami of travel.
